Candy Sky Tells A Lie

Image
Book: Candy Sky Tells A Lie Author: Shanna P Lowe Review: I enjoy reading light middle grade fiction stories. This time, I picked Shanna P Lowe's "CANDY SKY TELLS A LIE". Since the story is written from the point of view of the main character, I enjoyed it more. This book will take you into the mind of today's teenagers who are witty. I loved the idea of setting fingerprints on my mom's phone.  Get a copy of this book and see what all the main characters Candy Sky will do throughout this book. I was surprised by her skills to come up with lies quickly. Candice's mind works so fast to come up with lie after lie.  After a long time, I have enjoyed a book this much. It's a fun read that would cheer up your mood. I binge read this book. Lying is a habit that could put us in danger. Shanna has done a truly brilliant job by teaching a lesson about the consequences of lies to today's youth. School and college students should give this book a read. I am sure...

Cradles of the Reich

Image
Title: Cradles of the Reich Author: Jennifer Coburn Review: Cradles of the Reich is the latest book that I have read. It is a historical fiction. Although historical fiction stories couldn't capture my interest so easily, this book caught my attention.. The story takes some time to reach the concept of Lebensborn Society. It first introduced the three characters: Gundi, Hilde and Irma. These three women didn't know that their paths would cross in the Lebensborn Society maternity home. Gundi's main worry was raising a Jewish baby. If anyone would come across the fact that Gundi's baby is from a Jewish father then things will turn ugly.  Don't miss reading this book. This book introduces many readers to a complex topic that was unknown. Even historical fiction fans are unaware of the Lebensborn Society maternity homes. Jennifer has made her way into the hearts of many readers through this book. Rating: 5/5

Father Green

Image
Book: Father Green Author: Caleb Thornton Rating: 5/5 Review: Father Green is a wonderful poetry book as it makes readers aware about many different words. Through this book, I got to know more about Forgiveness, love, grudges, grief, failure, gratitude, etc.  In one sided love there is so much pain. The person who loves constantly makes efforts to win the heart of his/her loved one. This book is about a priest or a young naive boy. The naive boy is so much in love. All he wants in return is the love of the priest but his intentions weren't wrong. How the boy will feel when his intentions were taken wrongly.  Find out yourself by reading this book. I enjoyed this book. The author has been quite honest in his words and that is reflected in the poems well. I have read a few short stories by the author but this is the first time that I have read a poetry debut book of his. Go ahead with this book. You shouldn't miss to give it a read.

BOOK: IRREVERSIBLE After reading Tenacious, I was excited to read another short story by the author Caleb Thornton. This time I got my hands on the book Irreversible. This book is also for mature readers who are 18+. The main guy of the story is looking for love. Although he has tried so many guys earlier but all of them aren't capable of providing the kinda love he is looking for. Then one day, his eyes fell on a stranger. Frank brought this guy to his home by giving him a ride in his car. Will this guy fulfill Frank? The end of the story is unexpected. It's very easy to understand. Those who enjoy reading short stories with LGBT characters couldn't afford to miss reading this book. I can't wait to read the next book by Caleb. It's a short story that is worth reading. Length of the book is 20 pages so one could finish it in a single sitting.

Book: Tenacious Author: Caleb Thornton Rating: 5/5 Genre: Fiction (Short Story) Review: I am a kinda person who loves reading short stories. On my way home, I enjoy reading short stories.  Recently I read Caleb Thornton's short story Tenacious. How would you feel if your bully and your crush are the same person? This happened with Matthew who is the main character of this book.  Matthew is in high school. He has a crush on a tall and handsome guy with jet black hair. Carter Mitchell is in Grade 11. He is not only the most popular boy in school but also the school's best pitcher.  At high school, Matthew is overlooked by everyone and Carter is mean to him. One day, when Carter invites Matthew to his home, Matthew was surprised why Carter is nice to him. Read the story and get to know the truth yourself.  This is an amazing short story that kept my interest in it till the last page.
