My Thoughts:

This is the first book I've read by Lainey, and it left a lasting impression on me. When the Golden Bird Berra was captured, a shadow fell over the forest. Chuck discovered Berra tangled in a spider’s web, setting off a chain of extraordinary events.

Princess Salair’s arrival brought intrigue when, upon meeting Berra, she slipped into a trance. In her vision, she saw a mystical turquoise flower, a treasure once retrieved by Christian, the king’s brother.

As Chuck and his companions ventured deeper into the forest, they unraveled secrets about Berra’s origins. Berra’s foresight warned them of approaching dangers, while the turquoise flower’s ancient, mysterious powers added another layer of allure to their journey.

This book is a must-read for fantasy lovers, blending mystery, magic, and adventure seamlessly. Lainey’s storytelling captivated me from start to finish, and I can’t wait to explore more of her works!

Everyone believed that he was taking good care of him. However, Ronnie was on the street from eight or nine in the morning until ten at night. Ronnie was doing all this for his mother.  To keep his mother out of the hospital, he was working for Charlie. Ronnie was afraid to upset him. He was doing business even though he felt guilty initially for doing it. Charlie has taught Ronnie to never leave a block without making a deal. Charlie kept him in business for a long time. Even though Ronnie was looking for an escape, he was stuck. I loved the ending of this story. This book has increased my faith in God and his grace.
