Review:
This is the first time I have read a book by the author Ophรฉlie Caton. It is a riveting tale set in World War II England. Karl is a seventeen-year-old boy. When his father heard about the Nazis invasion in Denmark, his father decided to send him to England. Although Karl thought that he would be an adult soon and could take his decisions himself, he had to listen to his father.
Karl safely reached England and started his life by living on the streets. He drank water from wherever he could get it. Being Danish in an English country isn't an easy thing. However, Karl survived as the day passed. When Karl was badly beaten, the compassionate Hopkins family helped him in whatever way they could help.
The plot of the story is well constructed. The cover photo is attractive and made me pick this book. The characters are well developed. Karl's character is written well by the author. The story doesn't have any dull moments. The suspense and twists in the story kept me interested in it till the last page.
