Scorched

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Book: Scorched Author: Theresa Gage 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Review: Grimshaw, the sorcerer, was locked into the dark mirror world as a punishment for murdering King Arin. The King was Aidan's father. One day Aidan observed a hole in the mirror and Grimshaw set himself free.  Revengeful Grimshaw shoved Aidan into the dark mirror world. He now wants to take revenge from Aidan's twin brother Cosmo for his role in putting him into the dark mirror world. Also, he wanted to be the king and be the ruler. Aidan's family is preparing to welcome a new member in the family. They aren't aware of the danger that is waiting for them.  What will happen with Aidan's family? Will Aidan be free from the dark mirror world? This is a gripping story. I read it on a cold weather day with a hot cup of coffee. I must say that I am impressed by Theresa's work in this book. The backdrop setting is well done.  One should definitely read this book. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Rating: 4/5

Elizabeth's Mountain

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Book: Elizabeth's Mountain Author: Lucille Guarino Rating: 4.5/5 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Review: Those who love reading women's fiction should get their hands on this book. Elizabeth's Mountain is a story set around two generations and their experiences with love.  This is a delightful tale. Elizabeth is ninety-years-old now. When she was young, she was in love with a man named Robbie. After losing him in World War II, Elizabeth met a young doctor who fell for her and they married. Her thirty-four-year old granddaughter has recently moved in with her. Amanda is still single and has no hopes of finding love after her three year old relationship ended. She believes chivalry is not there now as it was in her grandmother's times.  Amanda's grandmother became her friend and motivated her. It was amazing to see Elizabeth as a hopeless romantic. She reminds me of my younger self. The characters are well written. This story will stay in my mind for a long time. Undoubtedly,

Damn Cat

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Book: Damn Cat Author: Ernest Mirich Rating: 5/5 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Review: Maggie Ferris is in her early thirties. She has a Persian Himalayan named Buttercup whom she probably loves more than her husband Carter. Carter is a loyal husband and he bears his wife's constant whining. Carter was supposed to have a peaceful weekend working on his novel but his wife created the drama at home when she lost Buttercup. Carter began his quest to find Buttercup and he met really weird people during the search. Carter had been planning this weekend for months. He had thought that Maggie would pass out for two or three days after her surgery and Carter could use this time to work on his novel. With the missing damn cat, Carter was left to deal with different freaks. I loved the ending of the story. Carter is a good husband as he puts efforts into his marriage and holds it together. He can do anything in the hope that his wife will love him more. The story plot is not predictable and the su
